Clara Reeve is a biography of the English novelist and literary critic who lived in the 18th century. She is best known for her Gothic novel The Old English Baron, which influenced Ann Radcliffe and other writers of the genre. The biography was written by Leonie Hargrave, a scholar and critic of Gothic literature. It was published by Hutchinson of London in 1975 and has 442 pages. It is the first comprehensive study of Reeves life and works.
