This is a collection of 28 lectures delivered by Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, between 1915 and 1917. The lectures cover the basic concepts and methods of psychoanalysis, such as the unconscious, dreams, sexuality, neurosis, and therapy. The book is translated and edited by James Strachey, who also wrote an introduction and notes. Black cloth with design and lettering stamped in gold on the spine. The first American publication of the Standard Edition of the Introductory Lectures on Psychoanalysis in an omnibus volume with the New Introductory Lectures on Psychoanalysis and has 690 pages.
